On the line between Bury and Ramsbottom, Summerseat is a lovely little station that serves the traditional pubs, fantastic garden centre and wonderful walks you’ll find in this village.
Soak up the countryside charm and the village atmosphere with rows of stone terrace cottages which formerly housed mill workers in the 1800s. Ramble up the nearby Holcombe Hill or wander around the beautiful Summerseat Nature Reserve and admire the beautiful woodlands and wildlife.
And if you’re in need of a pit-stop, there’s tea, coffee and cakes waiting at the local garden centre, or hearty food and real ale at the village’s two historic pubs – The Footballer’s Inn and the Hamer’s Arms.

The Footballers Inn and The Hamers Arms are the places to visit if you like cosy fires, hearty food and real ales. For breakfast or afternoon tea, stop by the Summerseat Garden Centre. And for a traditional ice cream made from fresh, local milk, don’t miss the wonderful Falshaws Farm Shop and Ice Cream Parlour.

Take junction 1 from the M66, turn right onto A56, and then turn left onto Rowlands Road to reach the station. Please note that Rowlands Road is a narrow single width road.
There is very limited parking at Summerseat Station.
