Congratulations to Bury Transport Museum volunteer Geoff for his effort in climbing Great Gable to raise funds for the restoration of the “Crab”.
The reaching of the 2,949-foot summit of Great Gable in the Lake District was completed on Wednesday 15th May, a day later than planned due to poor weather on the 14th.
Geoff found the going tough but with the support of his friends Keith and Vic he completed the climb and return in 9 hours.
The fund raising is going well with £978 being donated via the “Just Giving” site and £865 being raised by Geoff personally.
