Here are the headlines:
- September Diesel Gala – Marginal increase in footfall and income over 2023, the event was modified to allow movement of trains onto not often used stretches of track, and using a wide variety of diesel locomotives from the home fleet, well done to organisers and the diesel department.
- October Steam Gala – Positive visitor numbers and revenue over 2023, another well attended and well planned and run event, the brake vans rides and Furness 20 were definitely popular over the three days. Congrats to the event organisers and Steam Department for their efforts.
- New events planned for January 2025.
- Chestwheel to be examined for structural engineers.
- Removal of limited amount of track materials from Castleton has commenced.
- Launch of funding campaign for the Crab, 13065 – keen to donate, do so here.
