It’s hard to believe that the Summer Diesel Gala only took place last weekend. We are sure you have all been really missing the dynamic diesel action over the past few days.
We have a wonderful surprise for you! This Sunday (10 July) the East Lancashire Railway is running all diesels, all day, on all our standard services. Both the 9:15 service from Bury to Heywood, and the 9:15 service from Bury to Rawtenstall, will be diesel hauled.
Locos will be Class 42 D832 “Onslaught” on the 9:15 service from Bury to Heywood, and Class 24 D5054 “Phil Southern” on the 9:15 service from Bury to Rawtenstall (replacing the previously rostered steam service).
