That mischievous bob-tailed bunny, Peter Rabbit™, is coming to visit us at the Bury Transport Museum in 2025.

Come and see Peter Rabbit at intervals on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th April 2025.

There will be even more family fun with three fun fair rides suitable for toddlers, face painters and craft activities.

Complete your day out with a ride along one of our heritage steam or diesel trains through Irwell Valley. Ticket price includes a ride on any train services on the day of your visit.

Where is the event located?

You will find Peter Rabbit and other activities located at Bury Transport Museum. The entrance to Bury Transport Museum is located across the road from Bury Bolton Street Station.

The train station is on Bolton Street and this is where you can arrive to board your chosen train.

Can I see Peter Rabbit multiple times throughout the day?

No, you need to choose the entry time that suits you to meet Peter Rabbit. You need to arrive at Bury Transport Museum at the time stated on your ticket, 15 minutes after your entry time Peter Rabbit will appear and you can go and meet him and have a photo.

What train can I go on?

You can go on any train that day, however, please note that the entry time stated on your ticket is for the Peter Rabbit event located at Bury Transport Museum and you must ensure that you arrive on time. Please choose the most suitable time before or after your Peter Rabbit experience. Just take a look at our timetable  by CLICKING HERE.

Will there be an accessible route?

Yes, the entrance to Bury Transport Museum has lots of steps, so we have marked out an accessible route to avoid the steps. We also have an accessible route marked to board our trains too.

Please note we do not have lifts located at Bury Bolton Street Station.

What rides do you have?

We have 3 small fun fair rides suitable for toddlers. Access to the rides is included in the ticket.

Do you have food and drink available?

Yes, we have a food vendor located at Bury Transport Museum.

We also have a café on platform 3 & 4 serving pies, sandwiches and hot & cold drinks. Located on Platform 2 we have our family friendly Trackside pub serving traditional pub grub and a kids menu.

You are also more than welcome to bring a picnic and eat this on board your chosen train that day.

Where can I park?

There are multiple council owned car parks within walking distance of Bury Transport Museum & Bury Bolton Street Station, all of which are chargeable.

How long will this event last?

At Bury Transport Museum, we suggest this will take 1 ½ hours.

What happens if it's raining?

As we cannot rely on the Great British Weather most of the activities will be located inside Bury Transport Museum, the rides will be in the yard and we highly recommend bringing waterproofs so your little ones can enjoy the rides and the rain doesn’t spoil your fun!

Are dogs allowed to attend the event?

Dogs are not permitted to attend this event, excluding service dogs.
