Autumn Steam Gala

It’s the last large scale steam event of the year, so make sure to mark it in your calendar!

We’re pleased to announce the second visiting locomotive for this year’s Autumn Steam Gala! Furness Railway No. 20 will be appearing courtesy of the Furness Railway Trust, being the oldest working standard gauge steam locomotive in the country, this is a visitor that is not to be missed.

9F 92134 will be also be visiting the East Lancashire Railway for the Autumn Steam Gala, courtesy of the Self Family and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Thanks to Rick Shotton for the images.

Climb aboard for a weekend of steam powered glory with the East Lancashire Railway’s popular Autumn Steam Gala. This is your chance to ride up and down the line behind the railway’s incredible home fleet, and maybe even a guest or two.

The weekend will see an intensive, all steam timetable and all the usual bells and whistles of an ELR gala, including:

• Express and goods trains
• Shunting demonstrations
• Brake Van rides
• Bar car
